What does it mean to be a non-profit? It means that 100% of funds - whether it be through donations, cat adoptions, or retail sells, go back to the cats, not in our pockets. That's what makes The Cat Lounge Rescue and Adoption Center unique from others.
Want to get involved? We're always in search of dedicated volunteers to help out. Whether you want to be hands on with the cats or take a more behind-the-scene role, we couldn't have our doors open and save lives without you. The only requirements are that you love cats and can dedicate a few hours a month. Sound like you're something you'd want to help with? Contact us!
Don't have the time to volunteer, but are passionate about the cause? Any donation is helpful, as we rely on your generosity to get cats out of the shelter and into loving homes. Plus all donations are tax-deductible.
The Cat Lounge Rescue and Adoption Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We rescue cats in line for euthanasia at high kill shelters and provide them with a safe haven where the public can socialize, rehabilitate, and adopt.
Interning at The Cat Lounge will provide a behind the scenes look at what it means to run a non-profit. Animal rescue and care is definitely a large focus, but there are multi-faceted skills that will transfer to any career. From creating policies, providing customer service to sanitation procedures and sales, the tasks you will be engaged in will show you all the elements of a non-profit.
We are looking for a dedicated intern interested in joining our non-profit.

-Educating guests visiting our facility about our mission and policies
-Collecting monetary donations
-Creating and following sanitary procedures
-Supervising volunteers and delegating tasks
-Working off site adoption events
We are looking for someone who can dedicate 8 - 20 hours a week. Days and time are flexible for the right candidate.
